Please see the Available Kittens page for more pricing information. Deposits There will be a $150 non-refundable deposit to hold a kitten to be purchased as a Pet. Kittens are sold on a first come first serve basis. Until your deposit is received, the kitten is not considered reserved. If you wish to purchase the kitten as a breeder or for Show, half of the kitten's price is required as a deposit. Again, until your deposit is received, the kitten is not considered reserved. We offer PayPal which uses your credit card to transfer money directly into our account. If you choose to ensure the kitten is reserved for you, PayPal may provide you with instant success. We only accept personal checks for Deposits if the kitten is too young to be placed. If the kitten is old enough for immediate placement, personal checks are not accepted. Your check must clear our bank prior to removing the kitten from the Available Kittens web page. Cashier's Checks and Money Orders must also be cleared prior to removing the kitten from the Available Kittens page. Please do not send cash through the mail. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE We are unable to return deposits due to the advertising time lost in selling the kittens. Because some kittens mature slowly we keep our kittens until they are a minimum of 10 weeks old and if more often until they are 12 weeks and older. We find that leaving the kittens with their mother longer ensures that they are healthier, more confident, and more sociable when they go to their new home. If you choose not to take the kitten at the last minute, it makes it more difficult to sale the kitten as it matures and the price may have to be reduced to ensure sale of the kitten. The only exception to deposit returns is if you send in a deposit on a particular kitten and that kitten is no longer available for any reason. You may choose a new kitten or have your deposit returned. SHIPPING We do ship kittens both nationally and internationally. The normal cost for shipping a kitten is about $250 to $350. All shipping costs are the responsibility of the Buyer. We are happy and find it preferable for you to make your own arrangements with the airlines. If you choose to make your own arrangements and pay for the airline ticket, the cost of shipping will then be itemized per actual cost and that amount must be paid with the final payment. Costs related to shipping a cat or kitten include, but are not limited to: the pet crate, the health certificate and rabies vaccination required by the airlines, food and water bowls, mileage to and from the airport, etc. We are looking into the possibility of using a Pet Travel Agency that is experienced in getting your pet to you in perfect condition. We will also entertain delivering your kitten to you by ground at your cost. FINAL PAYMENT Final Payment must be received prior to making shipment arrangements for the kitten. We do not accept personal checks for final payment. If you are picking up the kitten you may pay the remainder in cash upon arrival. You will be notified of the exact amount owed once pickup or shipping arrangements are determined. |
Please see the Purchasing and Health Contract prior to purchasing a kitten. Details regarding both the Buyer's and Seller's responsibility for the kitten is explained in full. There is some controversy regarding whether or not the FeLV (for feline leukemia) is safe when the kitten is less than one year old. So rather than have them tested and vaccinated, we leave that decision up to the Buyer. All of our breeders are tested and are negative for both FeLV and FIV (feline HIV/Aids) prior to coming into the Cattery. Documentation to that effect can be provided if necessary. Our kittens are groomed regularly to prevent any skin irritations or coat problems. They are closely monitored and treated regularly for internal and external parasites. However, occasionally a kitten does show up with a health issue such as congenital defects, but are unable to be diagnosed until the kitten is a bit older with no fault to the Buyer or ResQMe Farms Cattery. If your vet finds the kitten to have such an abnormality, copies of the vet report and diagnostic reports is required. We reserve the right to have our own vet confirm your vet's findings. If the kitten is found to have a congenital defect within one year, that was not diagnosable within three days after purchase, and cannot be cured with reasonable vet care, we will exchange the kitten for one of equal quality and value. If we do not have an appropriate kitten, you may pick an appropriate kitten from the next two litters. See the contract regarding the death of a kitten. |
| PLACEMENT POLICY Here at ResQMe Farms Cattery our first and foremost responsibility is to our cats. With this in mind there are occasions when we determine that a home is not a good match for one of our kittens. So please don't be offended by any questions we may ask. Also feel free to ask as many questions as you want regarding our program. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE the sale of any cat or kitten at any time to any person. The safety and happiness of the kittens we place into your care is our main concern. CONTRACT We also have a link below that will take you to our Contract. Prior to shipment of the kitten we must have your signature on the contract. You may print out the contract, sign it and mail it to us at the indicated address. If you are picking up the kitten, the contract may be signed at that time. The contract is another way that we attempt to protect our precious kittens from ending up in a shelter or worse. You will discover that most reputable dealers require some sort of commitment on the Buyer's part to help protect the kitten. |

| MAKE YOUR PAYMENT It is simple to ensure you get the kitten you've chosen by using a credit or debit card to send your deposit immediately. Just click on the PayPal button below and follow the instructions. REMEMBER: All purchases of cats/kittens is on a first come first serve basis. If you mail a money order or cashier's check and it does not arrive before another person has placed a deposit on the same kitten, you will have to choose another kitten or your deposit will be returned. If two deposits arrive on the same date, the postmark will be used to determined which buyer mailed their deposit first. We will, however, place a "Deposit Pending" on our website for the kitten of your choice if you notify us that your deposit is in the mail. "Deposit Pending" is only good for three days. If we have not received your deposit within the three days, the "Deposit Pending" will be removed from the website and if we receive another deposit prior to yours, you will have to choose another kitten or have your deposit returned.
